Fourth Chick hatched
On Sunday, May 18th, early in the morning our fourth chick hatched. "Su" of Northern California was the first of the Internet Fans to notice the quartet of little stork pipsqueaks. Great joy settled among strok fans: Out of all remaining eggs a young one now hatched. The parent storks take loving care of the offsprings. While one parent stork watches and protects them, the other one is "on the road" in search of food. Now earth worms, snails and insects for the still tiny beaks have to be gathered. Whether all young ones will thrive and become fledglings depends most importantly on sufficient and beak-sized food.
