The Stork Chicks have been "christened"

Today the children of the Sorbic-Wendish Witaj Daycare group gave "our" stork chicks their names. They were drawn from forty-three suggestions which came from out-of-Germany stork friends:

• The oldest chick: Finja
  A suggestion from the Rixen family in Sweden
• The second chick received the name: Bree
  Derived from breeze A suggestion from Foxfire8425 of the United States of America
• Chick #3: Apoll
  This derived from Apollon, the Ancient Greek's God of Light A suggestion from the Queendk in Denmark
• The last "Nestling" was christened: Afra
  Derived from "African Woman" This suggestion came from Mrs. Iris Frey in Switzerland

The children's wish for the chicks is, to have plenty of food and a healthy "blossoming".
