Second Bicycle Tour to the Stork Eyries

The White Stork Information Centre Vetschau and the NABU-Calau invite you to the second bicycle tour to the storks eyries of the Vetschau vicinity on Saturday the 28th of June at 9:00 a.m. We will investigate which eyries are occupied, how many stork chicks are growing up and are "on their way" to become fledglings. Before leaving, the participants will look into the eyrie of the "Internet Storks" and will be informed of the latest news about Cico and Luna and their chicks Finja and Apoll.

The distance of about ten miles (15 km) will last around two and a half hours and leads to all stork eyries of the district. Heinz-Juergen Boemack leads the tour and reports of the life of storks and the history of the individual eyries. Of course, opportunities to observe other bird species will likely present themselves. With a little luck, whooper swans, osprey and the penduline tit will be among them. The tour will start and finish at the Whit Stork Centre Vetschau at Drebkauer Street 2a.
