The Vetschau White Stork Centre will be re-designed

During this year, the energy corporation enviaM will support the re-design of the White Stork Information Centre in Vetschau with 1,200 Euro, their press information officer Stefan Buscher reports. The undertaking will be part of the program of the local co-workers.

As a joint project, the NABU Regional Association Calau and enviaM will re-design the information centre. After its completion, training as well as exhibits of nature and species protection display will be available to day care centres, schools and other interested parties. "In addition, a new live stream camera will send real-time pictures from the stork nest to the information centre and the Internet", says Buscher.

Presently there are viewers all over the world who regularly observe the happenings. "Anyone who is interested in knowing more about white storks, kingfisher and Co. is cordially invited to the information centre", so Uwe Krause, enviaM co-worker and head of the project.

The Corporation encourages in its co-workers the social engagement in their own hometowns. Many of them are engaged in worthwhile projects in their leisure time,
so the press information officer. In 2009 enviaM supported 100 initiatives within the scope of Co-worker Projects enviaM. The Project is a part of the Volunteer Organisation RWE Companius. The umbrella organisation for all voluntarily engaged co-workers of the RWE supports projects in the area of school, social welfare, culture, sport as well as environmental and nature protection.
