Stork Couple lays 2nd Egg - The 3rd Egg is expected on Sunday, the Stork Day.

During the night of May 8th to May 9th "our" storks laid the 2nd egg. As a rule storks lay one egg every other day until the clutch is complete at a maximum of six eggs. The world renown "Internet Storks" at Vetschau are keeping to this interval of laying eggs as well. The 1st egg was in the eyrie on May 7th. So we calculate that the 3rd egg could be viewed by visitors to the White Stork Information Centre on May 11th, the Stork Day. On this "Day of the open Door" the Nature Protection Federation (NABU), Regional Federation Calau, offers a manifold program. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the Storkteam is available to answer visitors' questions. Admission is free.
