Live Transmission secured for 2005

The agreement of cooperation between enviaM and the NABU- Regional Association Calau for the combined Internet work on www.storchennest.de was signed last week. With this the live transmission from the Vetschau stork nest is secured for this year. During the coming week, but definitely before Easter, the camera and microphone will be installed and activated. All of us will now be anxious to know if our eyrie will also be occupied by a stork pair this year - keep your fingers crossed!

The earliest a stork arrived in our area were the last days of March. No one has to worry yet about us missing with the camera the arrival of the storks. Before they get here, we also want to install a photo blind to make it possible for interested persons to be very close to the stork events. For this to happen, several hurdles have yet to be overcome. Although the pole is already at our facility, it has to be properly outfitted, be cleaned of rust, be painted, be fitted with a platform, a foundation layed down and everything has to be assembled. More difficult are the neighbourhood problems and the process to receive permission. We work under the motto: 'Difficulties are there to be overcome'. So you may hope, that while visiting the Stork Centre, you can climb into the blind and take photographs.
