And now there are three Eggs
In the evening of May 3rd, eager "Stork Watchers" discovered the third egg. Because the nest hollow is already very deep, the eggs are only visible when one of the parent storks turns the eggs with his/her beak. This turning is a necessity for the proper development of the embryos. Both storks alternate regularly during brooding. From their food excursions they also bring back additional nest material to u pholster the area. They loosen the nest material and clean the hollow with their beaks, leaving the eggs dry and on a soft surface.
