Claudia Roth visited the Stork Centre Vetschau

On September 11th Ms. Claudia Roth,the Federal President of Buendnis 90/Die Gruenen, visited the White Stork Information Centre Vetschau. She held discussions at the offices of the Nature Protection Federation with environment und tourism associations. The development of the Biosphere Reservation Spree Forest, environmentally aggreeable tourism and translating the nature protection megaprojects of the Federation into action were prominent during these discussions. Claudia Roth viewed the Stork Centre and showed appreciation for the nature protection work and environmental education performed there. Regarding the topic "bird protection at exposed electric power lines", she commented that, to put into action the Federal Nature Protection Law nature protection associations and energy distribution concerns jointly establish priorities to eliminate hazards at particularly dangerous power poles.
