Mr. Nuthack visits the Stork Centre - Canadian translates into English

On July 5th the German-Canadian Joachim Nuthack visited the White Stork Infor-mation Centre in Vetschau/Spree Forest. Mr Nuthack wasn't happy with the Eng-lish version of www.storchennest.de and mentioned this to the NABU Project Leader Winfried Boehmer some years ago. He offered to translate the German texts into English. Since then he follows the events of the Vetschau Stork Nest from Canada, translates communications and information, and sends these to enviaM. From enviaM, the cooperating partner and sponsor of the Internet presentation, the texts are finally entered into the website. All of this Mr. Nuthack does voluntarily. He had not been in Germany for 20 years. He now dearly wants to acquaint himself personally with the Stork Centre in Vetschau. In the end, the most visited Internet stork broadcast of the world originates here. Every year the number of interested persons increases. This year 1.3 Million visitors with 6 Million visits were counted. In May alone 733,000 vi-sitors chose the site, followed the events at the "Internet Storks" and in-formed themselves about many nature protection subjects. That's not enough, however: At the "Forum" of the Internet site visitors discuss and interpret the happenings and pose questions to the Stork Centre. Increasingly the Inter-net guests are motivated to visit the Stork Information Centre in Vetschau. Every stork fan wants to see with his/her own eyes the eyrie and the stork couple Luna and Cico at least once. In addition, here you see in the building, yard and garden numerous exhibits about white storks and nature protection. And, if time permits, Winfried Boehmer will answer all questions during a re-laxing chat.
