Christmas is at the Door

Dear Storkfriends;

so close to Christmas we are able to bring you some enjoyable news: enviaM and NABU, Regional Branch Calau, extended the Agreement of Cooperation for Internet presentations of www.Storchennest.de. With this, we will again broadcast video and audio from the Vetschau stork nest in 2006. During the middle of March the camera will be reinstalled.

On the part of NABU, the placement of personnel has not been settled totally for the upcoming stork season. Nevertheless, we are optimistic in finding a solution. Within the scope of the Volunteer Ecologocal Year, 17 year-old Claudia Zastrow works at the Stork Centre since September. However, she cannot cope with the exhibits of and guide tours through the Stork Centre on her own.

Your donations help to pay for the establishment of nest aids. In addition, we are saving a portion for the acquisition of a food biotope for the storks at Vetschau. Last but not least you are helping emormously in covering the costs to operate the Stork Centre. For this we express to all donors our most sincere gratitude.
