Cause of the death of the young storks under investigation

NABU and enviaM are going to continue their cooperation in 2007. After the termination of the former agreement, the singning of a new contract is quite near. In the next few days both partners will decide about the continuation of the forums aswell.

Webcam and microphone are going to be installed on Thursday, March 15th. On this day the transmission of motion picture and stream incl. audio will start again.

Around the end of march we expect the storks to be back in Vetschau/Spreewald (Germany) so we can watch the breeding again. Storkfriends can experience everything usefull informations about the life, risks and safety measures of the storks on our website. envia TEL will be partner for the excellent quality of transmission again. In addition we will install a new kind of microphone that we expect to serve a higher quality of sound.

The death of the young storks in 2005 and 2006 was caused by some kind of mold and is now under investigation of the institute of bird disease in Berlin. Therefore the complete eyrie was removed and a new nesting box was built.
