Another try at the microphone
Today at 1:00 p.m. we will make a last attempt to improve the sound transmission.
We want to install last year's microphone, encased in a plastic basket to reduce wind noise, right into the branch structure of the eyrie. With this, we want to get as close as possible without being a disturbing element for the storks. Whether the noises of the nest material will have an affect on the microphone, we do not know. It's worth a try.
The prerequisites are:
- The storks have not laid an egg yet.
- The activity must not cause a long disruption. We knowingly chose the early afternoon hours deliberately because the storks are often busy elsewhere.
- 3. No one should worry that disruptions of the storks will be lasting and perhaps chase the them away permanently.
