The second egg was sighted
For the first time, in the forenoon of April 17th, two eggs could be seen. The nest hollow is very deep so that the eggs can only be seen when they are turned. It is another reason to be uncertain about the exact time of egg deposition. It could have happened over noght. The incubation process began right after the first egg had been laid. The chicks will hatch at daily intervals.
