Third and last bicycle tour to the stork eyries around Vetschau

On Saturday the 28th of July NABU-Calau invites you to the third and last of this year's bicycle tours to the stork eyries around Vetschau. On this tour the question how many young storks have become fledglings will be answered. The result will flow into this year's the census and the analysis of the breeding successes of 2007. How successful was the stork season of 2007?

The rendezvous will be at 9:00 a.m. at the White Stork Information Centre of Lower Lusatia in Vetschau/Spree Forest. Before the tour, the participants will look into the "Internet Storks" eyrie and will hear news about the parents, Cico, Luna and their chicks Chess, Mila and Gwen. The tour of about 10 miles (15 km) will last about 2½ hours and lead to all stork eyries of the vicinity. It will be taken on by Heinz-Juergen Boemack. He will report on the life of storks and the history of the individual eyries.

Other interesting species are guaranteed to be seen as well.
