Arrival at the nest:
March 24th First stork arrived.
March 27th Second stork arrives. First stork repulses landing. After a night on a neighbouring roof of the Stork Centre a fourth attempt - Successful, immediate mating.
March 28th This stork love lasted for a short time only. Shortly after noon Cico chases the female stork away. She does not return to the eyrie.
April 2nd A female stork joined Cico. It was love at first sight. Is it 9:25 a.m. the right one this time? She is noticeably larger than the first one.
April 3rd Again a change in partners! The female stork of yesterday flew away with a "final goodbye". Around 8:35 a.m. a new female stork appears. The game is repeated: Mating and together they undertake "construction work" on the eyrie. 3:10 p.m. this female also leaves the eyrie, not to show up again.
April 4th The next female arrives. Her breast is a little dirty and her 1:15 p.m. her legs are lightly chalked. The frequent shaking of the head points to this being the female stork which bred here in 2005.
April 5th The fourth! stayed for the night - a sign that this relationship could be a lasting one.
Laying of Eggs:
April 14th First egg sighted (8:10 p.m.)
April 17th Second egg sighted (forenoon)
Hatching of Young Ones:
May 17th First and second chick hatched
May 19th Third Chick hatched
Special Events:

Lost of Young Ones:

Banding:
June 28th Banding with ring #H 5285, #H 5286 and #H 5287. Mrs. Katharina Illig performed the banding. Upon approaching the young storks on the lifting platform the young storks fell into acinese (feigning loss of mobility). This way, the ELSA-bands could be fastened above the intertersal joint without complications. After a few minutes a parent stork returned and the young storks loosened from the stiffness.
Thermo regulation:
July 11th In temperatures above 85° F (30° C) parent and young storks chalk their legs. By way of this thermo regulation and panting the body temperature is lowered.
Flight exercises:
July 20th 7:55 a.m. The bravest of the three young storks starts out on his first flight exercises and lands expertly back of the eyrie.
July 23rd 5:25 p.m. all three young storks embark one after the other together on their flight exercises. They return unharmed.
Leaving of the Eyrie:
August 5th Today we've seen two of our three young stroks for the last time. The remaining young stork stopped by from time to time and was begging for food. He finally left the eyrie on 6th of august.
Aug 15th 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Luna and Cico are together at the eyrie for the last time
Aug 24th 6:25 a.m. Cico stayed the night one more time at the eyrie and then departed departed for the south
