April 27, 2008 One egg with a hole in its shell is removed. (probably damaged during battles for the eyrie, or while the eggs were rotated).
April 28, 2008 An additional damaged egg is removed. The clutch consists of four eggs now.
Hatching of Young Ones:
May 13, 2008 First chick (Finja) hatched (in the early morning)
May 13, 2008 Second chick (Bree) hatched (in the afternoon)
May 16, 2008 Third chick (Apoll) hatched (in the morning)
May 18, 2008 Fourth chick (Afra) hatched (in the morning)
Special Events:
 
Lost of Young Ones:
May 25, 2008 Afra (the youngest chick) died around noon and was eaten by one of the parent storks.
May 25, 2008 Bree (the second oldest chick) died at about 5:00 p.m. and was thrown out of the nest. The cause of death is still unknown.
Banding:
June 27, 2008 Finja receives band #H 7878
Apoll receives band #H 7879
Thermo regulation:
  At temperatures above 85°F (30°C) the parent and young storks chalk their legs. By way of this temperature regulation and panting the body temperature is lowered.
Flight exercises:
July 17, 2008 At about 3:00 p.m. Finja departed unintentionally from the nest and landed unharmed on the neighbour's roof. After some three hours she returned to her nest.
July 18, 2008 In the morning of today our young stork again flew away on an excursion of a few minutes.
July 20, 2008 At about 11:45 a.m. Apoll finally manages to take off for the first time
First extended Flights:
July 18, 2008 One of the young storks undertook an extended flight which, however, lasted for only a few minutes
July 20, 2008 Between noon and about 3:40 p.m. both our young storks undertook their first extended flights
Leaving of the Eyrie:
August 17, 2008 Finja and Apoll on their way to Africa.
August 26, 2008 Cico and Luna were at the eyrie together for the last time on August 26th at 6:20 a.m.
