The Stork Center at Vetschau
The white stork InfoCenter in the 'Niederlausitz' is situated in Eastern Germany approx. 100 kilometer in the south of Berlin in the Spreewald. You can directly reach it by highway A15, exit Vetschau. The white stork is the center of the exhibitions in the InfoCenter. However, there are a lot of other things waiting for the visitor: valuable information about numerous species living the Spreewald and nature proctection that can be put into practice by everyone.
Inside the building:
- Exhibition about the white stork (way of life, saving methods, LiveCam)
- Information about national biosphere reserve "Spreewald"
- Common themes in nature conservancy (bird of the year, tree of the year etc.)
- Diorams of the native fish otter and other animals of the Spreewald
- Animals in and near water - Who knows them all?
- NABU, Regionalverband Calau
