The stork with the band number 826 got the name Knuffi (means something like cuddly)by the Kindergarden group.
The stork with the band number 827 got the name Antonia by someone from Cottbus, a town close to Vetschau.

At the beginnig the children sang the song
"Auf unsrer Wiese gehet was" in
Sorbic language.
At the end they sung the same song in German language.
In between they recited a poem about the stork.
Than they gave names to the storklets.
There were some suggestions in 2 pots. One pot for the Kindergarden and one pot for the visitors of the stork center.
And finally the poem
The translation is a bit bumpy.
I hope, you beg me pardon.
Der Storch
:::::::::::::
Hurra, der Storch ist da,
zurück aus Afrika.
Jetzt heißt es für den Hasen,
für Frosch und Maus im Rasen,
für Schlange, Vogel: Horch,
da naht der Jäger Storch!
Mich freut, kommt er gezogen
mit weitem Segelbogen,
um - schwapp - mit Wasserhuschen
die Brut im Nest zu duschen.
Brauch keinen Wecker mehr.
Das Wecken regelt er.
Sein Klappern auf dem Dach
macht mich frühmorgens wach.

The Stork
Hurray, Hurray the stork is back,
returned right back from Africa
Tthat means for rabbit,
frog and mouse in the meadow
For snake, bird, Listen!
Hunter stork is coming close.
I enjoy him soaring and
sailing in wide circles.
And swash he gives
showers to his offsprings.
Don't need an alarm clock anymore,
this all does the stork.
His clattering on the roof
wakes me up in the morning.
