He is really busy.
Since some days storks arrive in Poland and Hungary.
So hopefully a mate will join him at the weekend.

Cico came back to his nest really fast and defendet his nest against a foreign stork.













No all is quiet and peaceful again.

Good morning,
finally another stork arrived in Vetschau after Cico has left the nest.
A lot of storks in the Spreewald and the area around Vetschau are still missing.
The reason may be the bad weather with many snow at the Balkan.
The air flow turned to the wrong direction, southwards instead of northwards,
During the flooding some years ago has nearly all stork babies died in eastern Germany, Poland and Hungary.
This generation may have returned this year.
Lets keep the fingers crossed this one will find a mate.
The dead line for egg laying is around the 10th May,
so there is still a bit time.

A short visit, he stayed 5 minutes in the nest.
