Welcome malo1 I have been a Vetschau "storkfriend" since 2006. It has been very interesting learning about the White Storks and being able to watch everything from my home in Southern California. I check in when possible to see the chicks hatching, feeding, learning to fly and finally leaving the nest. Cico and Luna are wonderful parents and always take good care of their chicks.

Doris, thank you for the video of the chicks being fed and for explaining about the sanctuary.

I must need glasses ...I didn't notice that there was already an egg when I checked here yesterday.
Didn't expect one so quickly

Luna was really quick this year. She laid the egg one day earlier.
But yesterday evening she was so restless, standing up, sitting down, standing up.....
And she was very busy making the nest comfortable.
That all were signs that egg laing was close.
